Self Improvement
On our way to any success, whether it's success with our finances, or relationships, our physical fitness or in our self improvement for that matter, many of us do not reach that ultimate goal. Why? We fail to clearly identify exactly what we want. That's exactly the reason why we don't get what we want. We don't clearly know and even if we do, it's usually just stated as a wish. Someday, we'll go on that vacation honey. Well, at least that guy knew what he wanted. But saying that you'll do something someday, is weak. Anyhow, I'll get into that more in my next article. Today, I want to focus o......

Self-improvement is the key to success in many areas of our lives. I wanted to share my experiences and what I do for mentally preparing myself for peak performance. What is mental preparation? Mental preparation is about visualizing a specific situation you want to create, exactly the way you want to create it, and mentally “going through the motions” to increase the probability that you will get your desired outcome. How can we accomplish this? Here are the steps I follow: 1. I Write out specifically and exactly what I want to accomplish. 2. I get myself in a peak performance state by ch......
Self Improvement
What an important question! Why is self-improvement so important in creating life long success? I mean, it goes without saying, but can you really achieve life long success in any area of your life, without first understanding what your current actions are giving you? If your day-to-day actions are not producing the results that would make your life a success, by your terms, what needs to change? If we are the ones that produce the results in our lives, and I believe we absolutely control that destiny, wouldn't we need self-improvement first before our life improves? The law of correspondence ......
Self Improvement
Happy New Year to you! A new year has begun today. Many of us think of the new year as a time to change our focus and get back on track on actions we did not take the year before. These actions probably include going on a diet, saving more money, taking a closer look at our finances, looking for a job and doing some stuff around the house that we have been putting off. I was thinking about this and asked myself, do we really need to wait for a new year to begin to commit to taking actions we should have been taking all along? Why did we allow ourselves to get caught up doing things at times th......
Self Improvement
As we begin on our journey to fulfill our desires, I believe we will need to fully understand what we love to do the most, in the form of service, or work. We often see television interviews or read newspaper articles about people that are extremely successful in a certain area. This extreme level of success manifested from passion and desire. To me, passion and desire are the driving force of achievement. Without it, the chance that we will give up or procrastinate greatly increases to the point where our goals will seem unattainable. When goals seem unattainable, most of us give up and ......

self-improvementWhat an important question! Why is self-improvement so important in creating life long success? I mean, it goes without saying, but can you really achieve life long success in any area of your life, without first understanding what your current actions are giving you? If your day-to-day actions are not producing the results that would make your life a success, by your terms, what needs to change? If we are the ones that produce the results in our lives, and I believe we absolutely control that destiny, wouldn’t we need self-improvement first before our life improves? The law of correspondence says, all things that we create in our outer world,  are a direct reflection of our inner world. Truer words have never been spoken! So self-improvement is key in creating life long success, because we will get off track. Continuous self-improvement will help keep us on track to a better life.

What Areas of Self-Improvement Should I Focus On?

There are so many areas of self-improvement to focus on, but I believe that these 3 should be focused on first:

1) Values & Beliefs – What are your values in life? What beliefs do you have that are causing you to not be as effective as you would like? Identify them and ask yourself, do I need to change these values & beliefs to become successful in life?

2) Relationships & Communication – Are you involved in positive relationships? Are you contributing to those relationships or taking from them? When you communicate with others, do they trust you? Are you empowering them or not?

3) Decision Making – Are the decisions you are making each day helping you or hurting you? If you want to lose weight in a healthy way, are you eating correctly and working out? If you are in financial debt. What actions are you taking to put you in that position? Are you spending more that you earn? Making these distinctions is step one in getting in the right direction.

How Can I Get Help?

He have many options. We can go to the library, read up and educate ourselves on what we need to do to be successful in any area of our lives. We can go to a seminar, take a class or even hire a personal life coach to help us achieve our life’s goals. Our circumstances will never improve unless we take action. Self-improvement is not as difficult as you may think. It involves learning new things to change you life’s destiny for better. For more help, you can contact me at george@ithinketh.com

Final Thoughts

Life is a journey. Self-improvement is a very important subject. It involves discovering what it takes to create a more fulfilled life. If someone told you that they had the key to life long success and happiness, what would you do? Would you want to know how, or would you just keep going on in the same routine? The choice is always ours to make. We have to exercise this power and use self-improvement to our advantage!
